As most of you know, the Quad 2905/2805 and also the previous model 989 and 988 had a few SERIOUS issues
- Stator glue just lets go. The stators loosen and touch the Mylar and there, speaker stuffed
- The Mylar is stretched too much and tears in the corners due to uneven stress
- The Mylar starts “pitting” and little anthills for with little hole in middle, arching away.
A new distributor in offers some hope. At about R4500/ panel (x12) one can have a BRAND new set of Quad 2905’s.
