Looking for speakers that can give you great sound to match your flat-panel HDTV’s great picture? Definitive’s Mythos Eight fits the bill. This versatile speaker can be used as a left, right, or center channel speaker mounted next to your flat-panel TV. And it features many of the same technologies found in Definitive’s highly acclaimed Mythos floor-standing speakers to provide a wide soundstage, pinpoint imaging, and superb realism.
High-tech drivers for exceptionally detailed sound
At the center of the cabinet are two 5-1/4″ midrange drivers surrounding a 1″ dome tweeter. The pure aluminum dome tweeter produces extended highs that reveal nuance and shimmer without a trace of edginess. Flanking the midranges are two 5-1/4″ bass radiators, which give the Mythos Eight better bass performance than you might expect from a slim, on-wall speaker. Die-cast aluminum baskets, a resonance-free PolyStone baffle, and proprietary damping technologies built into the cabinet ensure clean sound.
Gorgeous aircraft-grade aluminum cabinet
The enclosure is made of black hand-polished aluminum for a sleek look that’ll go well with most modern décors. The Mythos Eight comes with a wall-mounting bracket that will adapt to most swing out, arm-style TV wall mounts, so the speaker moves along with your TV when you reposition it.

Overall Review: I have this speaker matched with a pair (each) of Def Tech 450’s, Prosub 60’s, Procenter 60’s (for Audyssey DSX wides), and Promonitor 60’s for surrounds. This system sounds completely, mind-blowingly stunning. In particular to this speaker, dialogue is fabulously clear during movies, and it sounds and looks beyond great. I did not wall mount it, but the included mount is very versatile. You so cannot go wrong buying this speaker.

Pros: I bought three LCR. These are the clearest speakers i have ever heard!! The vocals and highs are absolutely amazing, They are very well constructed and heavy duty.
Cons: I gave them a week to break in before writing this post. The bass has improved in the last few days but it is still lacking. Just make sure you have a decent sub!
Overall Review: They mount so tight on the wall, such a clean look. They look like pieces of art.
